Lecture “Brain and hormones: why do we love our children, and children love us?”
Where in the human brain are centers of parental love and childish affection? Why do we like Cheburashka, and gulls chicks, a stick with a red spot? How is maternal-child interaction regulated by hormones? Why do girls play with dolls, and grandparents are crazy about grandchildren? How are breastfeeding, maternal care, and infant health related? Why does postpartum depression occur? Violation of child attachment programs and autism: how is it studied in animals? This and much more will be discussed in a lecture.
Lecturer: Vyacheslav Dubynin, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology, Faculty of Biology, Moscow State University.
